More than good deeds....
I may be off base, but I thought that the message of the movie stretched far beyond simply doing good deeds to others. At first, the character took the dare and became a "good" person, doing good deeds, and helping people out. He took control of his life (symbolized by him closing his fist).
But there was more. He was still empty, all his good deeds weren't fulfilling him. When he was challenged he realized the truth, that he needed to have a relationship with Christ. For all the good that he was doing, on a physical level, he was still missing the most important thing in life, a relationship with God and was not helping people on a spiritual level. He accepted Christ, and gave control of his life to Him. (symbolized by his opening his fist)
Then he found true freedom, and true purpose.
I think the movie showed it is important to help others, but that there is more to life than simply doing good things and being a "good" person.
Overall great presentation, for it's spiritual truth, and simply as an art form. There are many great messages for Christians in here and non-Christians alike.
Keep it up.
